The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024, organized by the Institute of Science, IISc Bengaluru, was conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. Following the announcement of results on March 16, candidates are now eagerly anticipating the release of their scorecards, scheduled for March 23, 2024. GATE 2024 results can be checked at the official website, at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

How to access the GATE scorecard?

Candidates who have scored equal to or above the qualifying marks for SC, ST, PwD categories in their respective papers will be eligible to download their scorecards from the GATE portal between March 23, 2024, and May 31, 2024, without any charge. However, after June 1, 2024, candidates can obtain their scorecards by paying a fee of Rs 500 until December 31, 2024. After January 1, 2025, the scorecards will no longer be available.

GATE 2024 Counselling process

The counselling process for admission to M.Tech programmes through GATE 2024 is managed by two entities: the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and the Centralised Counselling for MTech (CCMT). COAP handles counselling for admission to M.Tech programmes in IITs, while CCMT manages counselling for admission to M.Tech programmes in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs.

Steps in the counselling process

1. Registration: Candidates need to complete the online registration process on either COAP or CCMT platforms and submit the counselling fees.

2. Choice submission: Candidates must list their preferred programs and institutes, ranking them in order of preference.

3. Seat allocation: Seats are allocated based on various factors, including GATE score, candidate preferences, and seat availability.

4. Document verification: Candidates who receive seat allocations must undergo document verification at the designated institute.

5. Reporting: After document verification, candidates are required to report to the designated institute to complete the admission process.
