Ganesh festival started across the country from Wednesday. Devotees have been thronging since morning to worship the country’s second tallest statue of Lord Ganesha, i.e. 74 feet high, at Ganpati Dham in Bahadurgarh city of Haryana. People are reaching not only from Haryana but from far and wide to see this grand form of Ganpati Bappa.

On the first day of Ganesh Mahotsav, 11 quintals of laddus will be offered to Ganpati Bappa. Along with this, a Bhandara has also been arranged for 10 thousand people. By September 9, there will be programs in Ganpati Dham along with worshiping Lord Ganesha daily. Special arrangements have been made in the Dham for the people arriving from far flung places.

Country’s first tallest statue in Kolhapur

The country’s first tallest statue of Ganpati Bappa is installed on a mountain in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. This statue is 85 feet high. After this, the country’s largest statue of Ganesh ji is installed in Bahadurgarh. This statue is 74 feet high. It took the sculptors 10 years to make this statue. This golden colored idol of Lord Ganesha is blessing the devotees with welfare.

Ganpati Mangal Dham spread over 2 acres

Let us inform that Ganpati Mangal Dham built in village Sankhaul of Bahadurgarh on Delhi-Rohtak road is spread over 2 acres i.e. 8800 square yards. In this dham, there are grand idols of Lord Ganesha with Shiva lingam made in the shape of snow and Shri Ram’s court. Although people from Delhi and adjoining states come here throughout the year to see Ganpati Bappa, but a large number of devotees reach here for the whole 10 days on the Ganesh festival.

Ashok Gupta, chairman of Ganpati Mangal Dham, said that the work of construction of this Dham started in the year 1997 with the cooperation of the people. Thousands of artisans and sculptors worked on the Dham for many years. After this, in the year 2016, in addition to the country’s second largest idol of Lord Ganesha in the Dham, Shri Ram Darbar, Shivling was ready. On 5 September 2016, the idols of God were worshiped at the Dham.
