After leaving the Congress and joining the BJP, Sunil Jakhar’s sharp attitude has caused the pain of former Congress MLA Harminder Gill. Former MLA from Patti Harminder Gill said that I had also voted to make Jakhar the CM. Jakhar could not become CM, but now it is not right to curse Congress for never getting power in Punjab. Gill has made this appeal to Jakhar through social media.

Sunil Jakhar had claimed that after the removal of Captain Amarinder Singh, most of the MLAs were in support of making him the CM. Despite this, some Congressmen protested inside and gave it the form of Hindu-Sikh dispute.

Former MLA Harminder Gill wrote this

Praise BJP but don’t curse Congress: Gill wrote that I have a lot of respect for Jakhar. The praise of BJP after leaving Congress is understandable. But, repeatedly saying that Congress can no longer form the government in Punjab, this curse does not suit his mouth.

Congress’s gift reminded: Gill said that Jakhar’s father Balram Jakhar became MP for three times on a Congress ticket. He was the speaker of Lok Sabha for the longest time. He was the Agriculture Minister of the country. Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Elder brother Sajjan Kumar Jakhar became a minister in Punjab. Jakhar was also a three-time MLA, one-time MP, Leader of Opposition, Punjab Congress President.

Do not curse the parent party: Gill said that I was also one of the 42 MLAs who had voted to make Jakhar the chief minister. There might be something left out somewhere. For some reason the talk of making CM did not come to fruition. But, now don’t curse your paternal party. Congratulations to Jakhar on his way and the new party, but don’t speak ill of the Congress.
