Former councilor commits suicide by jumping off flyover: Video Viral; In Panipat’s Samalkha, relatives performed the last rites without informing the police

A former councilor of Samalkha municipality committed suicide by jumping off a flyover in Haryana’s Panipat district. After the incident, the relatives cremated the body without informing the police. At the same time, the video of the former councilor jumping off the flyover has also gone viral.

The family is not saying anything in this matter. The police got information about this matter only through the media. However, the reason for the suicide has not been revealed yet.

Seeing the youths who went to stop, jumped
Santlal, a resident of Samalkha Khatik Basti, was a councilor of the municipality in 1994. At around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening, Santlal climbed the flyover near Samalkha on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway. According to eyewitnesses, the former councilor talked about jumping in front of BlueJ. Meanwhile, people kept on persuading him to get down, but he was adamant on jumping off the flyover.

During this, some people tried to persuade Santlal by engaging in talks and sent two youths on a bike on the flyover to stop him from jumping. As soon as Santlal saw the bike riders coming towards him, he jumped.

Trying to handle it under the flyover went in vain
People tried to hold Santalal down after jumping from the flyover, but could not handle it due to heavy weight. Due to falling down, Santlal suffered serious injuries to his head and chest. People immediately took him to the private hospital. From there the doctors referred him to another hospital. The relatives took them to a private hospital near Siwah village. There the doctors declared Santalal brought dead. After this, the relatives cremated the body without informing the police.

Reason still not clear, police waiting for complaint
The reasons for the suicide are yet to be ascertained. Regarding the incident, SHO Narendra Singh said that the police has not yet received information about this incident nor has any complaint been received. So the police is not taking any action yet. Further action will be taken after complaint.
