One day stuck release from screw in bail
Dharamsot was granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday itself. However, when his lawyers reached the jail, it was found that there was a technical snag in it. New sections were added in Dharamsot’s case, which were not mentioned in the HC’s bail order. Because of which he could not be released from jail on Tuesday.

Corruption charges against Dharamsot
There are allegations on Dharamsot that he committed corruption while being a forest minister in the Captain’s government. He took a commission of Rs 500 on a tree from the permit holders of tree felling. However, no permit holder came to testify in the High Court. Apart from this, he is also accused of hiding a 500-yard residential plot in Mohali in the name of his wife in the election affidavit. About which the Vigilance Bureau has sent a report to the Election Commission.
