Food Aggregator’s Post On Team India’s New Orange Training Kit For Cricket World Cup Goes Viral

Cricket World Cup 2023 kickstarted with New Zealand hammering defending champions England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, October 5. They chased a target of 282 set by England in just 36.2 overs. But for Indian fans, the cricketing gala will actually start when India plays its first match of the tournament against the mighty Australians at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8, Sunday, for which the Indian team is practicing hard in its newly unveiled orange training kit. 

Yes, Team India’s training kit for the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup is not the usual blue colour but vibrant orange that has caught the attention of online users and fans. They were quick to point out the similarity between the new jerseys and t-shirts of Swiggy delivery executives. 

Even the food aggregator couldn’t resist itself from joining the conversation and replied on one of the X user’s post. “boys in the orange jersey are ready to deliver the World Cup,” wrote Swiggy.

This cheeky reply by the online food delivery platform added a touch of humor to the excitement surrounding the tournament and amassed a lot of reactions by social media users.

“Wakayi me delivery boy jaisi feeling aa rahi (They actually look like a delivery boys),” commented one user on the post.

“It was a nice dress, now it has turned the poor people into oranges…., wrote another user jokingly.

A third user also joking wrote “On time ? Kyunki ye late hua toh 4 saal lag jaayenge.”

The tournament will run for 46 days and will see 10 teams playing one-day international (ODI) games against each other to reach the finals on November 19 and clinch the trophy.
