FIR against Rajasthan CM’s son: Alleged fraud of 6.80 crores in the name of getting e-toilet tender, case against 14 including Vaibhav Gehlot

An FIR has been registered against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son and Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) President Vaibhav Gehlot for cheating in Maharashtra’s Nashik. Nashik businessman Sushil Bhalchandra Patil has accused Vaibhav of fraud of Rs 6.80 crore in the name of getting tenders in government departments including e-toilets in Maharashtra’s tourism department.

Sushil has lodged a case against 14 people including Vaibhav Gehlot on March 17 at Gangapur police station in Nashik. The case has been registered after the order of the court. The main accused is Gujarat Congress secretary Sachin Purushottam Valera. Valera’s father Purushottam Bhai Valera has also been a senior Congress leader.

According to Sushil Patil’s FIR, Sachin Valera, describing himself as an advertising businessman, said that he has a contract for advertising at petrol pumps in 13 states. He claimed that he has good relations with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and his son. He also claimed to look after the financial matters of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

He also said that since few months I have started working in Punjab and has presented OB van to the Chief Minister of Punjab. Sachin assured of crores of profit on investing in his work and said that you have to participate in the tender for name only. Vaibhav Gehlot will see the rest of the work. Vaibhav Gehlot accused of gambling
According to the victim, he transferred money to the bank accounts provided by Sachin Valera at different times. This amount was around Rs 6 crore 80 lakh. At that time for several months Sachin Valera and Vaibhav Gehlot had transferred monthly returns on investments to the bank account. In view of this, many more partners also invested. It is alleged that Sachin and Vaibhav suddenly stopped making monthly payments.
In the FIR, Vaibhav Gehlot has been accused of gambling. The victim alleges that I got information that Vaibhav Gehlot is a gambler for T20 cricket matches and he spends his monthly refund on it. Meanwhile, Sachin asked for time to make the payment. Later, Sachin started abusing him when he asked for money. He even stopped picking up the phone.

Court order litigation
The tender documents of the tourism department shown by Sachin Valera were found to be fake in the investigation. There were no tenders for e-toilets. Later, when the payment was not received and the fraud was realized, the victim took refuge in the Nashik court. The court has ordered the Gangapur police station of Nashik to investigate the entire matter.

Parner, Rishita Shah and Viraj Ganwal have been made accused. They are accused of conspiring to steal money by showing fake tender documents.

After the name of Vaibhav Gehlot in the FIR, the politics of the state is expected to heat up. BJP State President Satish Poonia has tweeted and asked the CM to bring out the truth on the FIR against the Chief Minister’s son and give clarification to the CM.
