In view of the increasing threat of Omicron in Maharashtra, the state government may impose new restrictions from today. Speculations are being made that its guidelines will be released before evening. Actually, the government is worried about the crowd gathering on Christmas and New Year. In view of this, orders can be given for night curfew, limited number of parties and no gathering at workplace.

Many decisions have been taken on this in the meeting of the Kovid Task Force which lasted till late Thursday. CM Uddhav Thackeray was associated with video conferencing in this.

State Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said in the assembly on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very serious about the Omicron variant and the idea of ​​imposing an overnight lockdown across the country is going on at the national level.

600 new patients in Mumbai
On one hand the number of Omicron patients is increasing, while on the other hand, in the routine investigation being done in Mumbai, 602 new Kovid patients have been found in 39423 testing on Thursday. Earlier on October 6, 629 new patients were found. At the same time, 1179 new patients have been found in the state. In the last 24 hours, 17 patients have died in the state, out of which one death has been reported in Mumbai. The number of active patients in the state has increased to 7897, out of which 2813 active patients are from Mumbai.

1179 patients found during the last 24 hours 1179 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in the state on Thursday, out of which 23 cases are from Omicron. Of these cases, 13 have been reported from Pune district, five from Mumbai, two from Osmanabad and one each from Thane, Nagpur and Mira Bhayander. Apart from this, 17 patients infected with corona virus died in the state. The Health Department said that the total number of people found infected in the state has gone up to 66,53,345. The total number of dead has reached 1,41,392.

Omicron found the most 23 patients
On Thursday, Omicron’s highest number of 23 cases were reported in a single day. The number of Omicron cases in the state now stands at 88. No cases of Omicron were reported on Wednesday. The number of active patients in the state is 7,897. In the last 24 hours, 615 people were cured. Around 1,10,997 samples were tested for Kovid-19 throughout the day.

Case will be registered in Pimpri-Chinchwad for breaking the rules
Ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner in a fresh order said that any person found violating the state government’s guidelines on COVID will be booked under IPC section 188. Will go Under this, there is a provision of imprisonment of not less than 6 months or fine of 1000 rupees or both.
