Sirsa’s fast track court on Thursday sentenced the father accused of raping a minor daughter to death. The accused was sentenced under the POCSO Act. Also, the court has sentenced seven years of imprisonment under section 506 of the IPC. He has also been fined Rs 50,000.
In case of non-payment of the fine, the accused will have to undergo additional imprisonment of one year. Apart from this, orders have also been given to give compensation of 5 lakh to the girl. The court disposed of the case in two years and two months and punished the accused.
Father used to quarrel with mother
At the time of the incident, the 11-year-old minor girl of the village was studying in seventh standard. The minor complained to the police on 28 September 2020 that they were three siblings. His father keeps on fighting at home after getting drunk. 26-27 September 2020 My father had a fight with my mother and threw her out of the house. At night I slept with my brother on the cot. My father picked me up and put me on another cot. he woke up. Father did wrong to him. She kept crying the whole night. But the father threatened that if he told anyone, he would kill him.
Told mother when there was unbearable pain
His mother came back home in the morning, but I didn’t tell anything out of fear. When there was a lot of pain in the stomach, on 28 September 2020, in the morning, he told the whole thing to his mother. After this the mother took me to the sarpanch of the village. The sarpanch called the police station. The police got the minor’s medical done along with the members of the Child Welfare Committee. The rape of the child was confirmed. The police marked the place where the girl was raped. The police arrested the accused father on 30 September 2020.
