In Haryana’s Kurukshetra, no talks could be held between the government and the farmers regarding the purchase of sunflower on MSP and the release of the jailed farmers in connection with the highway jam. The farmers had given an ultimatum to the government till 10 pm, but there was no talk between the two sides. After this, the farmers made beds on the highway itself and slept.
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait also slept on the road among the farmers. Earlier, the farmers had dinner on the highway itself. Meanwhile, some farmers were also seen dancing.

DM imposed section 144
On the other hand, DC Shantanu Sharma has imposed Section 144 in the radius of two kilometers of Police Station Sadar Thanesar, Pipli Chowk and Anaj Mandi Pipli to restore peace, law and order and traffic situation in the district. According to these orders, there will be a ban on carrying tractor trolleys, lathi-sticks, swords, gandasi etc. any kind of deadly weapons, selling petrol-diesel in bottles. If anyone disobeys these orders, action will be taken against him as per rules.
A situation of conflict can be created
A situation of conflict has arisen between the farmers and the administration. Looking at the number of farmers, there may be an attempt to open the highway by calling additional force. At the same time, SKM will decide whether the sit-in demonstration and movement will be held in Pipli or will be headed towards Delhi like the three agricultural laws, because at present the administration is running the traffic smoothly by diverting the route.

The Haryana government had announced that it would buy sunflower under the Bhavantar scheme. In which the government compensates for the loss incurred in the purchase at the market rate. But, farmers are demanding purchase on MSP. Talks were held with the government regarding this, but it failed. After this, on June 6, the farmers blocked the Jammu-Delhi National Highway.
Meanwhile, the police brought the order of the High Court and asked to open the jam in 15 minutes. When the farmer did not agree, the police lathi-charged fiercely. Farmers were chased and beaten. Other leaders including police farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni were taken into custody. During this, there were allegations of stone pelting from the side of the farmers as well. Although the police managed to open the highway late in the evening.
Farmers got angry after taking the leaders into custody. On June 7, it was announced to block roads in entire Haryana. According to the announcement, the farmers blocked the road. performed at the toll plaza. Many farmers were taken into custody on this day also, but they were released in the evening. There was a clash between the farmers and the police in Rohtak.
On the same day, nine farmer leaders including Gurnam Singh Chadhuni were produced by the police in the Kurukshetra District Court. Everyone in the court refused to take bail. After this all were sent to jail in judicial custody for 14 days.
After this, a panchayat was held in Shahabad of Kurukshetra regarding the release of farmer leaders and MSP. In which farmer organizations took the decision of Mahapanchayat in Pipli on 12th June.
