BIGHIT MUSIC recently made an exciting announcement about BTS member V’s latest digital single, FRI(END)S, described as a romantic song. The release of this single was highly anticipated by fans, especially after the promotion schedule hinted at a short film, concept photos, and a music video accompanying the release. The short film, which has now been released, features various artist videos displaying the word friends, eventually revealing only the word end. “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to announce the release of BTS member V’s digital single, “FRI(END)S.” FRI(END)S is a love song in the Pop Soul R&B genre. Please stay tuned for its release. However, what caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans, known as ARMYs, was a subtle yet intriguing detail in the short film. In one shot, a newspaper is shown, containing a paragraph that closely resembles a press release for a new album. The release lists five tracks and a bonus track, suggesting that the bonus track is meant to be listened to from start to finish, which mirrors a statement previously released by BIGHIT MUSIC ahead of Layover, V’s solo EP.

Apart from this short film, V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has been making headlines for his solo achievements, including surpassing 300 million streams on Spotify for all four of his solo songs. His solo debut album, Layover, features tracks like Love Me Again and Slow Dancing, along with Christmas Tree and Sweet Night.
On the work front, V collaborated with IU for her music video Love Wins All. Currently, V is serving in the military, but his presence in the music industry continues to be felt through his solo projects and collaborations.
