Fake CBI officers caught in Ludhiana: Neighbors nabbed them for demanding Rs 3 lakh to settle murder case

On Wednesday, police arrested a fake CBI officer and a woman in Punjab’s Ludhiana. Both of them had reached the house of a person named Bahadur Singh in Shimlapuri area with forged warrants, but the neighbors who were taking care of Bahadur Singh’s house caught them and handed them over to the police.

It is being told that this gang was blackmailing Bahadur Singh for a long time. He left the city last week and went abroad. It is being told that he was posted on some government post. Presently the police is investigating the matter.

According to the information, the accused reached Bahadur’s house on Friday with fake CBI cards. Here he told the neighbors that a case has been registered against Bahadur Singh under section 302. If you want to settle the matter, give Rs 3 lakh. After this, people immediately made noise by holding the woman and the man. Police station Daba reached the spot of the incident. The accused have been identified as Gopal and Kanta Devi.

Sent to Ludhiana by giving ID card
Accused Gopal told during interrogation that he was told by a person named Rana to go to Ludhiana and talk to Bahadur Singh over the phone. According to Gopal, he and Kanta Devi have been sent to Ludhiana by giving only ID cards. They don’t know anything about the real matter.

Gang running from Rajasthan
Investigation revealed that this gang is being run from Rajasthan. They have been making people their victims by showing them fake warrants. Police said that an FIR has been registered against the accused. It is being ascertained that how the accused have come in contact with Bahadur Singh and who have been victimized in the metropolis so far. The accused will be produced in court tomorrow and taken on remand.
