Amid nationwide protest against rising prices and unemployment, Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi also detained by Delhi Police, after brother Rahul Gandhi and several other MPs including Shashi Tharoor in New Delhi. Shortly before Rahul Gandhi was detained, the Congress leaders were spotted leading protests inside the Parliament buildings, along with other party members.
