EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW of Priyanka Gandhi: Instead of sacking minister Teni, Modi is quietly meeting her; BJP has cheated people’s faith in Ayodhya

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has kept her feet in UP for 8 months. She is working on all the strategies to get the Congress back its lost ground. Priyanka is adamant on the demand of resignation of Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni, father of accused Ajay Mishra alias Monu Mishra and Union Minister in Lakhimpur case. Priyanka says that the Prime Minister quietly meets the minister. They are getting all the work done. Why are you not sacking them? On the Ayodhya land dispute, she says that the BJP has done the work of betraying the faith of the people. Question: What is your opinion about Hinduism and Hindutva in UP? Are yogis Hindu or do they promote the ideology of Hindutva?
answer: It was meant by Rahul to say that one who is a Hindu walks on the path of truth. Today that path has been abandoned. Religion is being used. All this is happening to divert the attention of the people from the issues that should be raised in politics during elections. Now people should be aware. People should demand accountability. We should ask what has been done for us. Road built? Have a water tap? Is electricity coming? What is there for our children’s education? Why are you not getting employment? This is what Congress wants to say.

Question: Minister Ajay Mishra Teni has gone into hiding instead of resigning, is also going to the ministry, what will you do now?
answer: You would know when all this was happening. After a few days, there was a big police conference in Lucknow. Ajay Mishra Teni Minister was also present in it. Have you seen the photo of that conference? Why not seen? The son of this minister did all this. How can he stand on the stage when he crushed farmers and people under the wheels of his car?

The Prime Minister is making them sit with him on the stage. His photo did not come out. Now meet him in silence. They are getting all the work done. Why didn’t he sack him? Now even in the inquiry done by the UP government, it has also come out that the minister’s son has done everything. The power is in your hands, so how can the victim’s family expect that they will get justice.

Question: Mayor, DM, MLA have bought land on a large scale in Ayodhya?
answer: People’s faith is not being respected, for what was the donation given with faith. Little was given for these people to steal all of them. BJP people have been doing this since the beginning. People’s faith is being played with. Similarly, the game of land purchase is being played in Ayodhya.

Question: Your.. I am a girl, can fight… are other parties copying the slogan?
answer: I tell women all the time. You know your power. We’ve had a bit of a chuckle. Only touched, like we said, only a leaf has moved. The storm hasn’t even come yet. These women are becoming aware now. Realizing your power. Till now they had this mentality that just to please the women, give a gas cylinder. What are they doing to empower women? What did you do to move forward? The UP Chief Minister is saying that the energy of women should be controlled.

Question: Why BJP snatches your issues?
answer: A rule was taken out in Madhya Pradesh a short time ago. If the woman will go out of the district, then she should write in the district where she is going. How are you going? All these things tell the mindset and ideology of BJP. This party will never allow women to move forward. I am simply saying that recognize your power and move forward. Everyone, including the BJP, understands that someone has made women aware.

Women themselves are telling. When we would ask for accountability, suddenly everyone started making these announcements. Why did Modi ji not talk to women in 5 years? Why are you doing it now? I am very happy. All the political parties are understanding because of what we started. The women of this country cannot be denied.

Question: Why does Rahul Gandhi seem to be upset with UP?
answer: Who had gone to Hathras? Had also gone to Baghpat. Had also gone to Meerut. Keep coming many times. How are you cut from UP? When I talk to them about everything, how are they cut off? I tell them what is happening, what is not happening. I always give full briefings. When I am here, we are both the same.
