‘Even in the left era, many people asked for recommendation jobs’, Explosive Biman

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had repeatedly alleged that jobs were given on the basis of recommendation through letters during the Left tenure. Left Front Chairman Biman Bose practically refuted that allegation. He made it clear that no job was done on the basis of recommendation during the Left Front period. Jobs are based on merit. But he admitted that during the Left era, the Leftists also wanted to get jobs on the basis of recommendation. The Left Front Chairman’s confession has caused a stir.

Biman Bose claimed at the SFI rally yesterday, ‘Many people wanted to get jobs on the recommendation of the party during the left period. But, giving jobs on the basis of merit created discontent within the party. Workers’ supporters used to say that intelligence and flags will catch the donkey during the job.’ Speaking in this context, Biman Bose also claimed that in 1973, when Siddharth Shankar Roy was the Chief Minister, recommendations were sent in letters to the building. He claimed that these recommendations were sent in cigarette packets. He claimed that there was no corruption not only during the Left period, but also during the Congress period.
