Even if the board forgets the age, the interview has to be done, according to the instructions of the High Court

If the job seeker passes the age due to the mistake of the board, then the board will have to take the responsibility. Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay has cleared the board in this case on Monday. A TATE job seeker named Nefaur Sheikh approached Calcutta High Court complaining of recruitment denial. He told the court that Tate’s brother’s questions raised his marks but he could not sit for the interview due to his age.

In the hearing of this case, Justice Gangopadhyay said, ‘The court should take action after looking into the complaints of those who could not appear for the examination due to passing of age even after passing the marks obtained from wrong questions.’ The judge directed that if necessary, the board should form an interview board for such candidates.

In the 2014 TET exam, candidates were given 6 marks for wrong questions. One of them is Nefaur Sheikh. In 2016, he approached the court and was considered eligible to sit for the interview. But he could not sit for the interview due to his passing age.

The board has already given 25 thousand job candidates an additional 6 marks. The court asked to know the position of the board regarding the rest. It should be reported to the board by 12 noon on the next hearing day on November 4.
