In view of the continuous decrease in the number of pilgrims in the Kedarnath temple, the ban on entry into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple has been lifted on Saturday. According to the information, in view of the crowd of passengers in the temple, the entry was closed on 6 May. However, the month of June always sees a decrease in the number of passengers.

Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee President Ajendra Ajay told that the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is very small. Because of this, when the crowd of pilgrims started gathering, the entry was stopped.

Since the opening of the temple in May, 16 to 17 thousand pilgrims used to come daily for darshan, but from a few days this number has come down to a total of 2 to 3 thousand. Crowds reduce from June 15
President Ajendra Ajay said that from about 15 June onwards, the number of pilgrims decreases. There has always been a shortage since the monsoons and the opening of school-colleges for children. However, during September-October when the weather is clear, the number of pilgrims again increases.

More than 25 lakh people have traveled
This year, the Char Dham Yatra including Kedarnath Yatra has been started from May 3, where more than 25 lakh people have traveled so far. In view of the rush of pilgrims coming on Char Dham Yatra, the state government had already issued an alert. Along with this, orders were also given to conduct health check-up before traveling to the temples of Himalayas.
