An encounter is going on between security personnel and terrorists in Nowgam area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. In this, the security forces have killed 2 terrorists so far. Both were identified as Ejaz Rasool Nazar and Shahid Ahmed of Pulwama. He was associated with the terrorist organization Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
Both the terrorists were involved in the killing of Munir ul Islam, a laborer from Bengal in Pulwama on 2 September.
The name of the laborer was Munirul Islam, who was admitted to the Pulwama District Hospital.

A terrorist was killed in Shopian

On September 7 also, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Anantnag police at Thajiwara in Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
On 6 and 7 September, 4 terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists.
Grenade attack happened in Shopian
A grenade attack took place on 30 August in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack took place at the house of a Kashmiri Pandit in Manihal Batpora area of Shopian. The grenade was thrown targeting the colony of Hindus, but it fell on the CRPF vehicle. There was no information about any casualties in this.
