Producer-director Ekta Kapoor made a comeback to Twitter on Saturday, October 7. She tweeted, “So I am back briefly on Twitter before my team shuts me out for talking too much.” To mark her return, she hosted an Ask Me Session for her online followers. During the session, she discussed various topics, including her recently released film Thank You For Coming.

Ekta Kapoor answered all the questions confidently, with sharp witty replies. One question, in particular, gained significant attention on social media. A fan requested Ekta to refrain from producing adult films. The follower wrote, “Please stop making adult movies.” In response, Ekta Kapoor confidently stated, “No, I am an adult, so I will continue to create adult movies.”

Another user accused Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar of having a negative impact on the entire country, stating, “Aap or Karan Johar ne pure India ko bigada (You and Karan Johar have ruined our country).” In response, the filmmaker simply replied “Hmmmmmm!”

In a follow-up tweet, the user claimed that Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar are causing an increase in divorces in India, stating, “Aap dono ki wajah se India me jyada divorce hone lage (Because of you two, divorce cases in India has gone up).” In response, Ekta Kapoor repeated, “Hmmmmmmm hmmmmmm.”

Ekta Kapoor, while discussing Thank You For Coming, during her time on X, expressed her bond with her friend and director Rhea Kapoor. “Thank You For Coming is a little mad movie made by mad crazy partner Rhea Kapoor that doesn’t smash patriarchy but tickles with feathers under its nose so all the bullshit gets sneezed out !! There is only mad love for the film or impalpable anger!!” she tweeted.

Ekta collaborated as a co-producer on Thank You For Coming, alongside Rhea’s Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt Ltd. The film was directed by Rhea’s husband, Karan Boolani, and features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. Additionally, the project includes a talented ensemble cast consisting of Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi, Shehnaaz Gill, Karan Kundrra and Anil Kapoor.
