Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will not attend ED’s questioning. Enforcement Directorate has sent summons in illegal mining and money laundering case. He has been called for questioning tomorrow i.e. on November 3 at 11.30 am. The details of their programs for the next 15 days have been released by the CM Office. There is no mention of going to the ED office anywhere in this. However, this has not been formally confirmed by the government.

On November 3, CM Hemant Soren will visit Raipur. There the tribals will participate in the dance festival. On the other hand, on November 4-9, Palamu, Ramgarh, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Pakur will participate in different programs. There will be a cabinet meeting on November 10 and a special session of the assembly on November 11. In this session, the government will pass Jharkhand’s new Locality Bill.

At the same time, there was a meeting of the MLA of the Grand Alliance this evening. JMM, Congress and RJD MLAs had reached Ranchi under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. It was decided in the meeting that they would seek legal advice on the matter. Information is also coming that JMM may perform power show at Morhabadi ground tomorrow.

JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that JMM will show its strength from road to house. Preparations are being made for the next movement. There is resentment among the people. Along with sending summons to the Chief Minister, the ED has written a letter in this regard to the Director General of Police, Jharkhand. In this, a request has been made to make special arrangements for security in the ED office on November 3.

ED claims to have many important evidences

If sources are to be believed, many important evidences have been found during the raid on the residence of CM’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra in Sahebganj. According to ED sources, a check book linked to the chief minister’s bank account was found. The Chief Minister’s signature is being said in 2 check books. During the raid at the residence of Prem Prakash, a close aide of the CM, the ED had found two AK-47 rifles and 60 rounds. The two constables, who had seized weapons, were posted in the security of the Chief Minister’s residence.

Pankaj Mishra was in touch with many senior officers

It is said that Pankaj Mishra was in touch with many senior officers. In the investigation, the ED has found strong evidence that Pankaj Mishra used to threaten officials for help by taking the name of the Chief Minister. On July 19, Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra was arrested on charges of illegal mining and money laundering.

Since this arrest, there were speculations that the Chief Minister would also come under the scanner. Pankaj Mishra has been accused of money laundering of Rs 42 crore through illegal mining. The ED had told that illegal mining of more than Rs 1000 crore has taken place in the state, many big officials are involved in this case.

ED’s letter to DGP to increase security at ED office
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sought additional forces from the police headquarters to enhance the security of its office at Hinoo Airport Road. The ED has also sent a letter to DGP Neeraj Sinha in this regard. A copy of the letter has also been given to the Central Reserve Police Force. DGP Neeraj Sinha has accepted the receipt of letters for the security of the ED office.

ED took swift action

In the case of money laundering and illegal mining, so far many people have been arrested in Jharkhand, including businessmen and big government officials. If sources are to be believed, many people are still under the scanner. On May 6, 2022, the ED had raided at least 25 locations of Mines and Industries Secretary Pooja Singhal and others. Many strings were attached to this raid, including many IAS officers.

On July 8, the ED raided 11 locations of Sahibganj, Mirchachowki, Udhwa, Barharwa, Barhait and Rajmahal, along with MLA representative Pankaj Mishra, among others. Cash worth more than Rs 5 crore was recovered in the raids.
