ECR: Railways sent notice to Hanuman ji, warned to vacate the temple in 10 days – Rail Hunt

DHANBAD. The Railway Engineering Department in Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway has sent a notice to Hanuman ji to vacate the temple. On the evening of Tuesday 11 October 2022, a notice has been put in the name of Hanumanji outside the temple. It is written in it, your temple is on railway land. Illegal occupation has been done here. Remove the temple and vacate the railway land within 10 days of getting the notice, failing which legal action will be taken against you.

The incident is from Berakbandh area in Dhanbad. In Khatik Basti, a notice has been put by the Railways to remove the illegal slums in the vicinity including the Hanuman temple. However, the Railway Engineering Department has called it a human error. Senior Section Engineer SK Chaudhary told the media that this is a human error. The notice has been mistakenly addressed to Hanuman ji and the temple. It will be rectified and care will be taken to avoid such mistake in future. It has been told by the Railways that this work has been done not to hurt anyone’s sentiments, but only to clear the land of the railways.

In the Khatik locality of Berakbandh, people have been living as slums on railway land for 20 years. Now the Railways has issued a notice to remove these houses as illegal. Notices have been sent to more than 300 such families. After the media reports, the Railway Administration has clarified its stand in this matter, making necessary changes in the notice and has indicated to remove the encroachment.
