An East Bengal fan died after coming to watch the derby at Yuva Bharati. The young man from Baguiati suffered a heart attack shortly after the start of the match. He died after 9 pm.

East Bengal and Mohun Bagan faced off in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Saturday at Yuva Bharati. The first-leg derby kick-off between FC Goa and Hyderabad FC in Hyderabad was delayed by eight o’clock due to a power outage. 15 minutes into the first half, Jaishankar Saha suffered a heart attack in the gallery. Blood started coming out of his mouth. He was quickly taken to a private hospital ahead. The hospital informed that he died there after 9 pm.

4) Mohun Bagan beat SC East Bengal 3-0 on November 27 last year. Goals were scored by Roy Krishna, Manveer Singh and Liston Colaso.
5) 29 January 2022: Mohun Bagan won it 3-1 courtesy of Kian Nasiri’s hat-trick. SC East Bengal scored first but Kian Nasiri scored a hat-trick to win the green and maroon.
6) September 28, 2022: Sumit Pasi’s own goal defeats East Bengal in the Durand Cup. Mohun Bagan’s win.
7) October 29, 2022: Mohun Bagan won the ISL derby on Saturday.
