Drug smugglers had an encounter with BSF jawans on the India-Pakistan border in Fazilka district of Punjab. Taking advantage of the dense fog, the smuggler fled towards Pakistan. Actually, the BSF jawans were patrolling that meanwhile they got a stir on the border.

As soon as the jawans took charge, the drug smuggler fired at them. Responding to the firing, the jawans also opened fire. Meanwhile the drug smuggler ran away.

Smuggler ran away leaving heroin packets
The accused drug smuggler fled leaving the pipe and heroin packets used for drug smuggling. This is not the first incident of drug smuggling in the border area. Often in these days, taking advantage of the fog, drug smugglers try to enter the Indian border to deliver. Drugs are also being supplied with the help of drones. On Wednesday, the jawans recovered a pipe and 25 kg of heroin.

Smugglers of both countries active due to fog
The Indo-Pak border in Punjab is completely covered with smog. In such a situation, the smugglers of both the countries have become active. BSF (Border Security Force) has increased patrolling to arrest smugglers and keep a close watch on the activities of Pakistan. Due to the vigilance of BSF, the consignment of heroin and weapons being sent from across the border has been caught.

Keeping an eye on Pakistan’s every move
BSF is definitely facing some problem in the dense fog, but the jawans are keeping an eye on every move of Pakistan by sticking to the barbed wire. The BSF is running a special search operation in that area the very next day after there is a slight movement towards Pakistan in the mist.

consignment of drugs recovered from the fields
Many times heroin consignments have been recovered from the fields across the fencing. These days, a special watch is being kept on the drones flying from the Pakistani side on the border of about 550 km from Punjab.

Packets are thrown on the pretext of sowing
Along with the international border, the sowing of crops continues in Pakistan as well. Pak smugglers throw heroin packets in Indian territory on the pretext of sowing crops and their accomplices sitting in India transport their drug consignment to different parts of India through mobile network for a few bucks. It may be mentioned that the plans of the drug peddlers were thwarted by BSF recovering many such consignments in the past, yet Pakistan does not desist from its antics.
