The historic Rajpath and Central Vista lawns of Delhi have been redeveloped. Now their name has been changed to ‘Duty Path’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it on 8 September. Central Vista Avenue is spread over 3.2 km from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. 20 thousand crores have been spent to complete the project. It is designed by Dr. Bimal Patel. Arrangements have been made here ranging from 15.5 km of walkways made of red granite to 16 bridges and food stalls. It will be opened to the general public after about 20 months.
This is the first such project, which has been completed under the Central Vista Redevelopment Plan of the Modi government. The Central Vista plan was announced in September 2019. Its foundation was laid by PM Narendra Modi on 10 December 2020. However, no changes have been made to some of the buildings here. Among these, Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, War Memorial, Hyderabad House, Rail Bhawan, Vayu Bhawan are not part of the redevelopment project.

The new triangular Parliament House is being prepared on Plot No. 118 of Parliament House State. The entire project is spread over 64,500 square meters. The existing building of Parliament is spread over an area of 16,844 square metres. The new building of Parliament is spread over an area of 20,866 square metres. That is, about 4 thousand square meters is bigger than the old building. It will have several compartments like lounge for MPs, lounge for women, library, dining area.

The portion on both sides of the Rajpath from India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhavan is called Central Vista.
The 3 km long Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate has been prepared with many facilities.
Red-granite walkway which is spread over 1.1 lakh square meters with greenery all around.
There will be round the clock security in the newly built food stalls and parking.
More than 133 light poles have been installed here. Parking on the avenue will be free for a month or two.
The canal has been completely cleared, 16 bridges have also been built for pedestrians. Boating can also be done here.
There is 3 lakh 90 thousand square meter green area, where 4,087 trees have been planted. Here
The boulders and chains on the side of the walkway have also been replaced. 1,125 cars and 40 buses can be parked.
A path of 16.5 km has been prepared for people to walk. Red granite has been installed on this path.
