Vigil on the India-Pakistan border has been increased on the orders of security agencies due to festivals. Despite this, smugglers and mischievous elements sitting in Pakistan are constantly sending drones to the Indian border. Another attempt made by Pakistani smugglers on Monday-Tuesday night has been exposed by the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.

According to the information received, the movement of drones was seen in BOP old Sundergarh coming under Amritsar sector in Ajnala. Around 2.30 pm, battalion 183 personnel were on patrol. Meanwhile, the soldiers heard the sound of the drone. On hearing the sound, the soldiers fired and drove the drone back to Pakistan. The soldiers gave this information to their senior officers.

Search being conducted in the area

BSF jawans started search operation in Sundergarh area after the incident. A contingent of BSF and police personnel searched the area, but nothing suspicious was found so far. Officials say that it is not right to say anything right now. Whether the recovery took place or not will be told only after the search is completed.

Drone actions on the rise

Drone actions have increased on the border. The movement of the drone has happened about 5 times on the Amritsar and Tarn Taran border itself. Last week, BSF jawans also recovered 4 packets of heroin and pistol from Pul Mauran near Amritsar border. Security agencies say that mischievous elements sitting in Pakistan can spoil the atmosphere of Punjab. Therefore, the security agencies have been asked to be alert.
