Drishyam 2 Trailer: Ajay Devgn And His Family Is In Trouble Again As Case Reopens After 7 Years

New Delhi: The wait is finally over. The trailer of Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ is out. Taking to Instagram, Ajay Devgn shared the much-awaited trailer. He wrote, “Shabdon pe nahin, drishyon pe dhyaan do. Kyunki shabdon mein, jhoot chupne ki jagah dhoond hi leta hai. #Drishyam2Trailer Out Now. Case Reopens on 18th November, 2022”

The trailer shows that the case related to Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family is reopened after seven years. A series of unexpected events bring truth to light that threatens to change everything for the Salgaonkars. ACP Thomas (Akshaye Khanna) who is the investigating officer is on a mission to catch Vijay’s lie and IG Meera Deshmukh (Tabu) comes into the picture again to help Akshaye and Ajay.

Ajay is all set to reprise one of his most intriguing characters on-screen and continue in Vijay’s shoes in the sequel.

‘Drishyam 2’ has been directed by Abhishek Pathak and is the remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name besides also being a sequel to the crime thriller ‘Drishyam’ which released in 2015.

‘Drishyam’ was the Hindi remake of a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal. The film was adapted in Hindi by Nishikant Kamat, who passed away in 2020.

The film also stars Shriya Saran, Ishita Gutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor.

Earlier, makers had shared each of the character posters to amp up excitement among audiences. Ajay Devgn’s first look poster was shared on Saturday. In the poster, we can see Ajay in a green shirt and blue jeans holding a spade looking serious as ever. In the backdrop, we can see houses and coconut trees and Ajay standing in the midst of dug-out mud.

Before that, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna’s posters were also revealed.

Primarily shot in Goa and in parts of Mumbai and Hyderabad, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 18,2022.
