Dream Girl 2: Ananya Panday To Star Opposite Ayushmaan Khuraana In The Sequel. Watch Teaser

New Delhi: Dream Girl, one of 2019’s most popular romantic comedies, was a fun experience for moviegoers. As fans eagerly awaited confirmation of a sequel, Ayushmann Khurrana has now confirmed the film’s second installment and given a release date. The actor’s co-star this time around is Ananya Panday.

Ayushmann, who plays the lead role in Dream Girl 2, is shown in the teaser pondering whether or not he needs to do puja in order to get through the dry spell in light of the recent lackluster box office performance of Hindi films.

Posting the announcement teaser, Ayushmann Khurrana wrote the caption, “Aapki Dream Girl Phir se aa rahi hai, miliye Pooja se 29th June 2023 ki Eid par. #DreamGirl2 in cinemas on 29th June 2023.”

The video also discusses how successful Bollywood films have become and makes fun of the Boycott Bollywood movement. Then Ayushmann explains that he is performing a religious ritual known as “Pooja” in the city of Mathura. Pooja, he said, will debut in theaters on Eid 2023 with Ananya Panday.

Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana’s romantic comedy, continues to hold the title of the actor’s highest-grossing picture to this day. The plot of the movie is centered on a young guy, portrayed by Ayushmann, who achieves massive success by impersonating a call center worker called Pooja using his voice modulation abilities.

The majority of Dream Girl’s actors have confirmed their participation in the sequel. Dream Girl 2 will feature Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee in supporting roles. In the meanwhile, Ananya Panday has joined the cast as the main lead. The film will also include legendary actors like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani Saab, Manoj Joshi, and Seema Pahwa.

Currently, Ayushmann is filming An Action Hero with Anirudh Iyer. Along with Rakul Preet and Shefali Shah, he’ll be starring in ‘Doctor G’.
