Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde proved his majority in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Monday. After this, the Shinde faction gave a petition to the new speaker Rahul Narvekar, in which there has been a demand to cancel the membership of 16 MLAs of the Uddhav Thackeray faction. However, the name of Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray is not included in these 16 MLAs.

Bharat Gogavale, MLA and Chief Whip of Shinde faction said that we have given disqualification notice to all the MLAs who defy the whip, except Aaditya Thackeray. We did not give notice to Aaditya Thackeray because of our respect for Balasaheb Thackeray.
