After a few days of peace in the Congress, politics has once again heated up. Despite repeated assurances from the high command, Sachin Pilot has turned aggressive after seeing no decision in his favor.

Due to the sudden activism of the pilot, there is an internal discussion in the Congress that now the pilots are in the phase of a decisive battle across the border.

Pilot not only tried to show strength to the opposition camp and the national leadership by mobilizing crowds in his meetings, but also tried to give a message to his supporters that he has not given up yet.

Are the pilots really fighting a decisive battle? Are there still chances of him becoming the CM? Or is he moving towards parting ways with the Congress? Bhaskar investigated about similar questions going on inside the Congress.

The claims of reconciliation between Pilot-Gehlot have been washed away by the recent statements of both the leaders.

First of all know, what are the future prospects of the pilot?

Chance-1: Can he still become CM?
However, earlier the Congress high command wanted Pilot to be made the CM. That is why observers were sent from Delhi in the month of September last, but the decision was postponed due to the political crisis arising out of the resignations of the MLAs at that time.

According to a senior PCC leader, it is too late now. The possibilities of Pilot becoming CM are almost over.

After the political crisis of September, due to Rahul Gandhi’s visit and now the budget session, there is no possibility of change in the CM’s chair.

After the budget session lasting about one and a half months, there will not be much time left for the Congress to take steps like changing the CM in Rajasthan. Even if the high command wants, the Gehlot camp will not be ready for this.

An MLA who is a supporter of Pilot says – Gehlot camp was not agreeing to the name of Pilot earlier also, will not agree in future also.

It is clear from Gehlot’s statements that he will not allow Pilot to become the Chief Minister under any circumstances. After the budget session, only six months will be left for the code of conduct to be imposed.

In such a situation, the Congress leadership would not want to commit the same mistake as Punjab in Rajasthan before the last election. Delhi’s not taking any step in this matter after September is an indication that now the time has passed for the change of CM in Rajasthan.

The sword is repeatedly drawn between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot, but the high command is unable to take any decision.

Possibility- 2: No option but to have patience
A cabinet minister close to the Pilot camp said on the condition of anonymity – Now the time has passed for Pilot to become the CM.

In the present conditions of the Congress, Pilot has no option but to have patience. If he is patient, then he is the next leader in the Congress for the coming times. Because he is young and he still has a lot of time for a political career.

Right now the situation is such that his chances of becoming the CM are slim. The high command will not try again to replace Ashok Gehlot and make Pilot the CM.

The high command has already seen the fate of such an attempt in September. This is the reason why this issue is constantly being dragged by the high command. Four months have passed since the events of September, but the high command is silent.

Possibility- 3: Can Pilot form a new party?
There is a strong discussion within the Congress that Pilot may choose a different path from the Congress. Such people of Congress who are not associated with any group, they also express the possibility that Pilot can contest the election by forming a new party.

It is being argued that through the recent tours and meetings, Pilot is getting an idea of how successful he will be if he forms a new party. However, people close to the pilot do not speak openly about this.

In a conversation with Bhaskar, a pro-Pilot MLA told Bhaskar that we are all with Pilot, but discussions like forming a new party are mere rumours. Now we are waiting for the decision of the high command. So far the pilot has neither got a yes nor a no. At present, we are looking towards the Congress high command with the hope that there should be some final decision. What is the final decision, after that further things will be decided.

Possibility-4: Free hand should be given in election by making PCC chief
The Congress high command can take a decision to persuade Pilot by making a commitment for the next time. Before the election, Pilot should be given the command of the State Congress Committee and given a free hand for ticket distribution.

By doing this, Pilot should be convinced that if the government repeats in the state, then he will be the next CM.

Gehlot should be kept CM till elections and given time to implement budget announcements. There is a high possibility that if Pilot gets a free hand for ticket distribution, he may agree to become the PCC chief.

What was the reason that the pilot camp suddenly became active?
Congress experts say that Pilot has been continuously getting assurances from Delhi to make him the CM. That is why the exercise to change the face of the CM started in September, but the Gehlot camp was overpowered. After this, there was no attempt from the high command to change the CM. After continuous waiting, the patience of the pilot camp broke.

The high command has not yet taken action against the leaders found guilty on resignation politics, while Pilot has openly demanded action against them.

The high command has not yet taken action against the leaders found guilty on resignation politics, while Pilot has openly demanded action against them.

Know the reasons due to which the Pilot camp suddenly became active against the government…

Reason-1: Has the high command given a free hand to Gehlot?
The possibility is being raised behind Pilot’s sudden activism on the ground that his supporters are feeling that the high command has given Gehlot a free hand. The pilot camp is assuming that the high command is not going to take any decision at the moment.

Political analysts believe that the new atmosphere of controversy has been fueled by Pilot’s visits and meetings.

Behind this, analysts say that the delay in taking decisions by the high command is a major reason for this.

Earlier it was being assumed that the high command would take a decision regarding Rajasthan after Rahul Gandhi’s yatra passed through Rajasthan. but that did not happen.

Meanwhile, the budget session was announced. The assembly session is starting from January 23 and as CM Gehlot has said – the budget will be presented on February 8.

In such a situation, it is clear that the half month of February and March will pass in the budget session. Time is passing and Delhi is silent, there is a murmur in the pilot camp.

Reason-2: Did patience break due to no action being taken against the three leaders?
Action was to be taken against UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, Water Supply Minister Mahesh Joshi and RTDC President Dharmendra Rathore in the case of the September 25 rebellion. There were repeated statements of big leaders that action will be taken against those who indulge in indiscipline.

Organization general secretary Venugopal had said while in Rajasthan during Rahul Gandhi’s visit that the three have not yet got a clean chit.

But no action was taken by the high command on all three. The pilot camp is also angry that no action has been taken against the three leaders.

Reason-3: Resignations were returned, did the high command accept that everything is fine?
On September 25, when the high command tried to make Sachin Pilot the CM in place of Ashok Gehlot, 81 MLAs had resigned in support of Gehlot.

The matter of resignations was described by the pilot camp as a rebellion against the high command. For a long time no action was taken on the resignations from the Speaker CP Joshi.

When the High Court asked about this, suddenly the resignations were withdrawn. This sent a message that the high command was not bothered by this development against the decision of the high command.

After the matter of resignations was over, the pilot camp felt as if it was not a big deal in the eyes of the high command.

Why is the high command avoiding the decision to make Pilot the CM?
This question is being raised again and again within the Congress regarding the national leadership that why the decision is not being taken? Why is the high command proving to be so weak in controlling the situation of constant tussle?
Know the reasons due to which the high command is hanging the decision…..

The Gehlot faction made its strength felt on September 25 and also proved that it does not have the number of MLAs with Pilot.

The Gehlot faction made its strength felt on September 25 and also proved that it does not have the number of MLAs with Pilot.

Reason-1: Gehlot is heavier than Pilot in numerical strength
There is not enough strength with the pilot. Pilot has very few MLAs compared to Gehlot.

The cabinet minister close to the Pilot camp says – Pilot has 15 to a maximum of 20 MLAs. Gehlot himself has publicly stated that the Legislature Party is not in favor of Pilot.

Gehlot had said that Pilot does not have MLAs capable of becoming CM. The same few MLAs who were with him during Manesar were also seen in Pilot’s meetings. At the same time, many MLAs have changed their camp and joined the Gehlot camp.

Reason – 2. Election in 9 states including Rajasthan is also a hindrance
Elections are to be held in nine states including Rajasthan this year. Elections have been announced in three states. Knowledgeable leaders associated with the Congress say that the party has governments in only three states including Rajasthan. The role of these three states will be most important for election management.

In such a situation, according to the election management, AICC is refraining from taking a decision that the CM should be changed in Rajasthan. Elections are also to be held in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura.

In such a situation, the need for Gehlot will remain there as well. After this elections are to be held in Karnataka and other states. Last time Gehlot played a big role in the Karnataka elections.
