A school bus rammed into another school van in southwest Delhi on Tuesday afternoon, leaving as many as seven children and the van driver injured, as per the police. The injured were rushed to a hospital after the mishap where they were treated for minor injuries. In the meanwhile, the van driver is recovering in the hospital, the police said. While the school bus belongs to St Thomas School in Dwarka, the eco van was ferrying students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 1.
All the children injured in the accident are below 7 years of age. Both the vehicles had a head-on collision. It is suspected that the bus was moving on the wrong side due to which the accident took place. A case under relevant section of the IPC has been registered and investigation is underway,” a police officer was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
