United Nations Secretary-General and PM Narendra Modi will launch the mission ‘LIFE’.

On the second day of his Gujarat tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 10th Conference of Heads of Missions at PM Kevadiya on Thursday. There will be a bilateral meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. He will then launch the mission ‘LIFE’ in the presence of the UN Secretary General at the Statue of Unity.

PM Modi will also participate in the 10th Conference of Heads of Missions here. It is being organized by the Ministry of External Affairs. This conference will run from 20-22 October 2022. It will be attended by 118 Heads of Indian Missions (Ambassadors and High Commissioners) from across the world.

What is Lifestyle for Environment campaign?
The Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021. The PM had called upon the global leaders to join the movement to protect the environment by adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle. Along with the improvement of the road from Saputara to the Statue of Unity, he will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of non-contact roads. Other projects for which the foundation stone will be laid include water supply projects worth over Rs 300 crore in Tapi and Narmada districts.
