Bhanwarlal had gone to his brother-in-law’s house in Chattargarh two days back. While going back to Diyatra on Sunday evening, the girl was thrown into the canal on the way.
A case of throwing a five-month-old girl into a canal has come to light in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The innocent was not thrown by anyone but by his parents. What is more disturbing is that this heinous crime was committed by his father to save his government job. Father Jhanwarlal killed daughter Anshika alias Anshu to avoid trouble in the government job he got on contract. The police have arrested both the accused father and mother.
Some people saw the child being thrown away. They reached there running. The girl was pulled out, but she could not be saved. The bike riders had fled by then.
The incident is of Chhattargarh police station area of Bikaner. Jhanwarlal works on contract as a school assistant in Chandasar village. Superintendent of Police Yogesh Yadav told that Jhanwarlal had also involved his wife in this incident. He had gone to his brother-in-law’s house in Chattargarh two days back. On Sunday evening, on the way back from brother-in-law’s house at Char CHD to Diyatara, the girl was thrown into the canal on the way. Then left for Diyatra from here.
Jhanwarlal was on the bike with his wife and two children. The couple threw the 5-month-old girl into the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) at 5 pm on Sunday. When some people shouted seeing the innocent being thrown, the bike riders ran away. People took the girl out of the canal, but by then she had died.

On getting information about the incident, blockade was done in Chhattargarh and Khajuwala areas. Where Khajuwala’s trainee sub-inspector Mukesh Kumar stopped the couple’s bike. On enquiry, Jhanwarlal told to come to brother-in-law’s place. When in doubt, Mukesh Kumar took his photo. Took a photo of the bike as well. Jhanwarlal’s Aadhaar card photo was also taken from mobile. After that let go. When the top officials came to know about this, information about Jhanwarlal was taken from Diyatra. After this the couple was arrested.
Both the accused father and mother have been arrested by the police.
There was a question of job, so threw
Jhanwarlal hoped that he would soon become permanent. There is a condition in the job that there should not be more than two children. Although he has three children even after throwing a girl child into the canal. Of these, he has given one daughter in adoption to his elder brother. He says that the girl accidentally fell into the canal.
Jhanwarlal had given an affidavit of having two children of his own in December last year. She feared that having more than two children would not make her stable. In such a situation, he killed a girl by throwing her into the canal.
