Dalit child beaten up in Karnataka: Accused of stealing girl’s gold earrings, assaulted mother who came to save her

A case of thrashing of a Dalit child on suspicion of theft has come to light in Chikbalpur, Karnataka. Actually, the incident is of Kempadenahalli village on Thursday. Its video surfaced on Sunday. Yashwant, 14, was playing with friends. During this, some people present there accused Yashwant of stealing gold earrings of a girl playing together. Just on this allegation, people tied Yashwant to a pillar and started beating him badly with a stick.

Not only this, his mother who came to save Yashwant was also beaten up by the people. The police gave this information on Saturday.

Mother and son did not even know why they were being beaten up
Police said that when Yashwant and his mother were questioned, they told that they did not know why they were being assaulted. Yashwant also told that he has been falsely accused. He didn’t steal. While recording the police statement, 10 people have been arrested in the case.
