While addressing the Lok Sabha on Monday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) believes that “cryptocurrencies should be prohibited.” She also said that “cryptocurrencies are by definition borderless and require international collaboration to prevent regulatory arbitrage.”
