Seeing the effigy of Ravana wrapped in the tricolour, people were enraged. He opposed it. After which the managers immediately had to change the color of Ravana’s dress. After which Ravana could be burnt.
First the excuses, then the committee accepted the mistake

He told the people that the white stripe visible on the effigy is actually silver in color. It looks white only when viewed from a distance. Despite this, the anger of the people did not subside. After which he accepted his mistake. He said that he did not pay attention to it. When the talk of the tricolor Ravana started spreading in the city, the managers in a hurry changed the dress of the effigy. Only after this the residents of the city allowed Ravana to be burnt.

Dussehra festival was celebrated with pomp in Karnal. In Karnal city, MP Sanjay Bhatia burnt the effigy of Ravana, a symbol of evil. Apart from this, effigies of Ravana as well as his son Meghnad and brother Kumbhakarna were burnt at various places. The effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad were burnt at Dussehra Ground located in Sector-4 in Karnal. Many dignitaries including Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, Chief Minister representative Sanjay Bathla, social worker Brij Gupta were specially present on this occasion.

The crowd chanted Jai Shri Ram’s cheers
As soon as Ravana’s effigy was set on fire, the ground reverberated with the chants of Jai Shri Ram. Before this, the audience also enjoyed the fierce battle of Ram-Ravana. Ravana was slaughtered at many places in the district on Wednesday on the concluding occasion of Ramlila which was going on for several days at different places of the district. As soon as the effigy of the giant Dashanan made in place caught fire, the whole area reverberated with the cheers of Jai Shri Ram. A huge crowd was present to see this victory of Dharma over Adharma.

In the evening, when the war started between Lord Shri Ram and Dashanan, there was no place left to step foot in the Ramlila Maidan. In the midst of the Ram-Ravan war, Jai Shri Ram kept shouting. As soon as Lord Rama shot an arrow in Ravana’s navel, the huge effigy of Ravana started burning. The effigies of Meghnath and Kumbhakarna were also burnt along with Ravana. This time also the effigies of Ravana 60 feet and Kumbhakarna and Meghnath were made 50 feet. Whereas Lanka was 22 feet long and 15 feet wide.

MP said: No matter how powerful the lie is, the victory is of the truth
Member of Parliament Sanjay Bhatia said that no matter how powerful the evil and the lie, in the end only truth and good win. Ravana had conquered all the three worlds, but even today after thousands of years, the effigy of Ravana is burnt. Everyone should take a pledge that whenever there is a chance, one has to stand with the good and the truth.

Mayor Renu Bala said that there is a feeling in the whole country on this day that the evil of Ravana’s effigy should be eradicated. Ravana is burnt for this so that the ego evil of the person can be ended.
