cpm: Cpm Magazine Lashes Out At Front Ally Cpi | Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM-controlled ‘Chintha’ magazine has come out against CPI and has termed them “as betrayers of the Communist movement”. It said that CPI had aligned with the bourgeois in the state for getting power.
“The CPI are those who have acquired revisionist disease and betrayers of the Communist movement. They should have shed the red flag and the Communist name from them,” said the article in the magazine.
However, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the article was not the opinion of the party and it was just a remark in the article made by one of the readers. “The article was not written by any of the party leaders. The party policy will be declared by the party leaders and not by the article in a magazine,” he said.
Meanwhile, while reacting to the article that has flayed the party, CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said, “The reply to this can be read in the next edition of the ‘Navayugam’ (CPI mouthpiece).”
“There is no embargo on ideological debates within the front and hence if somebody is criticizing the other, then those who are criticizing should make it clear whether it was proper for them to do so,” he added.
