New Delhi: India reported 13,086 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours as per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry. The active caseload in the country has been above the 1-lakh mark. With the new cases reported, the active caseload was reported to be at 1,14,475 and the daily positivity rate at 2.90 percent while weekly positivity rate was at 3.81 percent.
During the same time period, 24 persons succumbed to the infection while 12,456 cases of Covid-19 were reported recovered. The total recovery count in the country has reached 4,28,91,933 so far with a recovery rate of 98.53 per cent.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 86.44 crore samples have been tested for the coronavirus out of which 4,51,312 were tested in the last 24 hours.

Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, 198.09 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered since the start of the drive on January 16, 2021.
As compared to earlier two days, cases reported on Tuesday slightly plunged. On Monday, 16,103 fresh infections were reported with 31 fatalities and 13,929 recovered cases. A day earlier on Sunday, 17,092 cases were logged across the country with 29 deaths and 14,684 recoveries.
