Surajpur Court has sent Shrikant Tyagi to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the assault and abusing of a woman in Grand Omaxe Society of Noida. Along with Tyagi, his associates have also been sent to judicial custody. The four accused will be kept in Noida’s Luksar Jail. It is believed that the court can hear their bail plea on Wednesday.
Shrikant Tyagi has been arrested by UP STF on Tuesday. The Noida Police had placed a reward of 25 thousand on him. The police have also arrested 4 accused including Shrikant. Noida Police Commissioner Alok Singh spoke to the media. He said, ‘Srikant Tyagi told during interrogation that the stickers of the assembly on the vehicle were given by former minister and Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya.’
The commissioner said, ‘The accused kept roaming in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Baghpat to escape from the police. Earlier it came back to Meerut from Rishikesh via Saharanpur. The accused kept changing his mobile device continuously. The footage from the CCTV cameras helped in apprehending Srikanth.
In Noida, Shrikant Tyagi took off the mask during a press conference for two minutes.
The police commissioner said, “The accused is fond of having VVIP numbers on luxury vehicles. He has spent up to Rs one lakh each to get all such numbers. Shrikant was hiding with a relative in Meerut
According to sources, after absconding from the Grand Omaxe Society, Srikanth had taken shelter at his relative’s place in Meerut. On Monday night, Shrikant called his wife Anu Tyagi. The police got a big lead from here. Police took Anu Tyagi into custody again on Tuesday morning and interrogated him. His mobile was searched. Based on the same input, the Noida Police reached out to Shrikant Tyagi.
Srikanth’s sister said – the child of the house is safe
On Srikanth’s arrest, his sister said- We are happy with the arrest. The child at home is safe. He was on the run for the last four days. There were many doubts going on in my mind that something might not happen.
Three vehicles of Srikanth have been seized so far. His fourth vehicle has also been recovered from Bhangel. MLA is written on it near the secretariat.

Tyagi’s wife Anu was given two security personnel by the Ghaziabad Police citing the mandate dated 25 January 2019. Then on 13 April an additional security personnel was given. That is, Shrikant had 4 and wife Anu Tyagi had 3 gunners.
All seven gunners were withdrawn from Srikanth and Anu on 26 February 2020. When the husband and wife were given gunners, there were DM Ritu Maheshwari and SSP Vaibhav Krishna in Ghaziabad. Ritu Maheshwari is currently the CEO of Noida Authority and Vaibhav Krishna is the SP Security at Police Headquarters Lucknow.
His wife Anu created a ruckus in Lucknow’s Gomtinagar in February 2020, accusing Shrikant of illicit relations.
Gunner and post were removed in Lucknow flat case
In February-2020, Shrikant’s wife Anu had created a ruckus in Gomtinagar, Lucknow. It was alleged that Srikanth has illicit relations with another woman. The matter reached the Gomtinagar police station. Both the women also got the FIR lodged against each other.
