In the last 24 hours, 16,492 new cases of corona have been found in the country, while 45 people have died. At the same time, the number of active cases is 1 lakh 28 thousand 661. 18,552 people have also recovered on the last day. A day before this, 11,738 were found on Monday and 29 people died.

Positivity rate in Meghalaya is 23.86%
In Maharashtra, 886 new cases of corona have been found in the last 24 hours, while 5 people have also died. On Tuesday, 13 people died of corona in Kerala. At the same time, 1057 new cases have been found. In Karnataka too, more cases are being reported every day. On Tuesday, 1736 cases have been reported here. Apart from this, the positivity rate in Meghalaya reached 23.86%.

Three people died in Delhi in 24 hours
The danger of corona infection has started looming once again in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 1506 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the capital. Whereas, 3 patients died in Delhi due to Corona. Now the positivity rate has reached 10.63.

4.40 crore cases of corona in the country so far
Since the beginning of the corona epidemic in the country, 4 crore 40 lakh 66 thousand 198 have been found infected, while 5 lakh 29 thousand 141 people have died. The number of patients who have been cured of corona has increased to 4 crore 33 lakh 95 thousand 379. At the same time, India’s corona vaccination coverage has exceeded 204.34 crores.

NTAGI appeals for booster dose
The National Technical Advisory Group of Immunization (NTAGI) has urged people who have received either CoveShield or both doses of Covaxin to be given a booster dose, the third dose, of the Corbevax vaccine developed by Biologicals E. Corbevax is India’s first indigenously developed Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) protein sub-unit vaccine for COVID-19.

According to NTAGI, adults who have received the Serum Institute of India’s Covashield or Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin can be given the Corbevax booster.
