For the first time in the third wave of corona epidemic in the country, the infection figure crossed the 1 lakh mark. In 24 hours, 1 lakh 16 thousand 390 new cases of infection have been registered. - In the midst of increasing cases of corona in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made RT-PCR test mandatory for those traveling to and from the state.
- In three days, 196 doctors, health workers and other employees of Chandigarh PGI were corona positive. Of these, 87 doctors and 109 other staff members.
Omicron patients reached 2820 in the country
The number of Omicron patients in the country is also increasing rapidly. According to outbreakindia.com, till late Thursday night, the number of Omicron patients across the country increased to 2820. 137 new cases were registered today. Maximum 79 cases have been found in Maharashtra and 50 in Kerala. The number of patients recovering from the new variant in 24 hours stood at 1121, while 1699 patients are still undergoing treatment. Maharashtra has registered the maximum number of cases of the new variant in the country at 876. Delhi (465) is at number two, Kerala (284) at number three, Rajasthan (236) and Karnataka (226) are at number five with cases at number four.

1. Maharashtra
On Thursday, 36,265 people were found infected here. 8907 people were cured and 13 people died. So far 67.93 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. In these 65.33 lakh people have been cured, while 1 lakh 41 thousand 594 people died. 1,14,847 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
2. West Bengal
On Thursday, 15,421 people were found infected here. 7343 people were cured and 19 people died. So far, 16.93 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 16.32 lakh people have been cured, while 19,846 people died. 41,101 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
3. Delhi
On Thursday, 15,097 people were found infected here. 6900 people were cured and 6 deaths were recorded. So far, 14.89 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. 4. Tamil Nadu

2. Madhya Pradesh
On Thursday, 1033 people were found infected here. 102 people recovered. Not a single death took place here today. So far, more than 7.96 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. 3. Uttar Pradesh
