At present there are 21.05 lakh active cases in the country. In the third wave, the figure of total active cases has crossed 21 lakh for the first time. 1. Maharashtra: About 48 thousand new cases were found in 24 hours
In the last 24 hours, 48,270 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra, which is 2,338 more than Thursday. A day before this, 45,932 cases were reported in the state on Thursday, that is, 5.09% cases have increased in a day. At the same time, 42,391 patients were cured on Friday and 52 people died. The total active cases in the state now stands at 2,64,388. A total of 74.20 lakh people have come under the grip of infection here. Of these, 70.096 lakh people have been cured, while 1,40,023 people died. The positivity rate is 23.44%, the day before this, the positivity rate on Thursday was 18.49%.

2. Karnataka: The number of deaths decreased compared to the previous day
On Friday, 48,089 people were found infected here, while 18,115 people were cured and 22 people died. Earlier on Thursday, 47,754 people were found infected and 29 people died. 2. Uttar Pradesh: Deaths doubled compared to the previous day
In the last 24 hours, 16,142 people were found infected here. 17,600 people have recovered and 22 deaths have been recorded in the state. On Thursday, 18,429 people were found infected and 12 deaths were recorded. So far, more than 19 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.97 lakh people have been cured, while 23,022 people died. 95,866 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.

3. West Bengal: 37 deaths in a day
On Friday, 9,154 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 19,112 patients have been cured, while 35 people have died. On Thursday, 10,959 new cases were found and 37 people died.
