Sources reveal that the committee has been given the task of pacifying the political ruckus over ticket allocation for 6 seats. The high command asked them to conduct separate surveys and submit their respective reports. On the instructions of the party, the three leaders got the survey done on Monday and submitted the report to the high command.

Therefore, till this afternoon, the seats on which the screw is stuck, the Congress High Command can give a decision regarding the ticket. It is expected that out of the 57 seats where tickets have been fixed, it is possible to change the tickets of one or two, because the Congress’s Young Brigade and some former MLAs are angry in the state.

Controversy broke out over tickets for these 11 seats

At present, the Congress has fixed candidates for 57 seats. Now their formal announcement is yet to be made. The Center Election Committee is unable to make a consensus on 11 seats. There is controversy over these. Among them Manali, Kutledah, Shimla Urban, Sulah, Dehra and Hamirpur are prominent. 5 other seats will be of Congress high command’s own choice.

Tickets can be changed on these seats

Sources reveal that even in the 57 seats where the party has fixed the ticket 3 days ago, there may be a change in the ticket in one or two seats as the Young Young Brigade of Congress is upset over not getting a single Youth Congress leader ticket.

Will the displeasure of the Young Brigade go away on these seats?

The party is making efforts to give ticket to any one of these three, Negi Nigam Bhandari from Kinnaur, Yadopati Thakur from Sarkaghat or Surjit Singh Bharmouri from Bharmaur to remove the resentment of Young Brigade. Although the ticket of Sarkaghat is not decided yet. There are three contenders here, Rangeela Rama Rao, Vivek and Yadopati, but if they do not get tickets, Rangeela Rama Rao has warned to leave the party.

Competition between Jagat Singh Negi and Nigam Bhandari in Kinnaur

In Kinnaur, the ticket of Jagat Singh Negi, a sitting MLA and close to Holy Lodge, is confirmed, but from here Youth Congress State President Negi Nigam Bhandari is claiming for the ticket. After the displeasure of the Young Brigade, the Congress High Command is reconsidering this seat.

A faction is lobbying to change the ticket in Theog too
In Theog seat, the Congress high command has finalized the ticket of former state president Kuldeep Singh Rathore, but here too, a section is lobbying for Indu Verma, wife of former MLA Rakesh Verma, who joined the Congress from the BJP. Sources reveal that Indu Verma will revolt if she is not given a ticket. The other faction is also vigorously lobbying for Deepak Rathore, close to Rahul Gandhi and who contested on Congress ticket in 2017.

waiting for tickets
Surprisingly, the leaders of the state Congress are making claims of releasing the list of tickets in ‘Aajkal-Aajkal’ for 3 days. Even the media in-charge of Himachal has called a press conference regarding the announcement of tickets, but tickets are not being issued. It shows that all is not well in the party.

yuk office bearers warn of resignation
Congress has not given ticket to even a single Youth Congress leader this time. Especially Youth Congress President Nigam Bhandari Kinnaur, Youth Congress Working President Yadopati Thakur Sarkaghat and General Secretary Surjit Bharmouri are demanding tickets from Bharmour seat. There is anger among them for not getting a ticket for any of them. In view of this, the YuC leader has warned of mass resignation.

Congress engaged in damage control
The party has now formed a damage control committee and has stopped releasing the list of tickets for the time being. Similarly, former MLA of Chaupal, Dr. Subhash Mangalet has also clearly indicated that he is a rebel. Sources reveal that the party high command may reconsider giving ticket to one of the above mentioned Congress leaders. If this happens, there may be a change in the ticket in some seats.
