AB de Villiers confirmed that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are going to have a second child.
Anushka Sharma has been away from the spotlight for a while now. She was last seen on the big screen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero, which underperformed at the box office. Rumours were rife that the actress is expecting her second baby with cricketer-husband Virat Kohli. Even though the couple has refrained from reacting to any reports surrounding Anushka’s second pregnancy, several photos and videos of the actress sporting a baby bump on her outings with Virat have made their way to social media in the last few months. Now AB de Villiers has finally confirmed the same.
For the unversed, Virat Kohli had been absent from the first two tests against England. While his fans have been speculating about the reason behind his absence, Virat Kohli’s former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Ab de Villiers has addressed this during a YouTube live.

“All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is happy. Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you a little bit of love. So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you for a while now biscuits. How are you?’. He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now’. Then I said I am doing well,” he shared on his YouTube channel.
AB de Villiers continued, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision.”
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed their daughter Vamika Kohli in January 2021. They are one of the most popular couples in Bollywood. On the work front, Anushka will next be seen in the sports biopic Chakda Xpress. Directed by Prosit Roy, it is based on cricketer Jhulan Goswami. She was last seen in a special cameo role in Qala.
