- Punjab Government Will Attend The Meeting With Full Preparation; CM Denies Differences With Governor

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said in the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal case that the Punjab government will strongly present its stand in the meeting with Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on October 14. He talked about having a meeting with the Chief Minister of Haryana on the directions of the Supreme Court. Mann said that he would go to the meeting with preparation to ensure that the interests and rights of Punjab were fully protected.
This will be the first meeting of Bhagwant Mann with Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar. After the order of the Supreme Court, both the CMs will discuss the disputed issue SYL.
Previous governments avoided meeting
Bhagwant Mann said that leaders of previous governments have been avoiding such important meetings. However, he will go to the meeting with full preparation to protect the interests of the state. However, he said it was too early to reach any conclusion regarding the outcome of the meeting to be held later this week.
CM said there is no difference with the governor
CM Bhagwant Mann also said that there is no difference of any kind between the state government and the Governor of Punjab. He said that the Punjab government was against inflation, unemployment, mafia and other evils but had good relations with the governor.
Panel to be sent to Governor
Mann said that the state government would send a panel of three names to the governor for the appointment of the vice chancellor. However, it has been a common practice for the governor to agree to the name proposed by the state government.
