Clean the accumulated water in the house, otherwise the mayor is strict with dengue

Dengue is increasing alarmingly in the state. From the health department to the municipality, the general public has been repeatedly warned about this. Still there is lack of awareness among people. Recently, BJP’s All India Vice President Dilip Ghosh called Kolkata Municipal Mayor and Town and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim as dengue minister and dengue chairman. Firhad himself took to the streets to raise awareness about dengue. At the same time, the mayor of Kolkata also gave strict instructions in case of water accumulation on many floors.

Today Firhad Hakeem led a dengue awareness walk from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s house in Kalighat to his own residence. In that case, people are warned not to accumulate water in the house. The municipality has warned people about water accumulation at home before. But even then, as it did not work, Firhadam ordered to take stricter measures. His clear order is that if water accumulates in someone’s house, the person concerned will be arrested.

According to municipal sources, the problem in cleaning the accumulated water is mainly due to house disputes. There are disputes in many houses. Due to which the problem is created as to who will clean the dirt from the roof or clean the tank. And dengue-carrying mosquitoes are spreading in that gap. Even though the mayor of Kolkata Municipality has always given a message to be careful about this, there is no tendency to follow it among the common people. That is why the mayor is forced to give such strict instructions to the municipal officials.

It is noted that many people have been affected by dengue in the state this year. According to the sources of Health Bhavan, so far more than 51 thousand people have been affected by dengue in the state. Besides, 85 people died. Health Bhavan has directed government hospitals to increase beds for treating dengue patients.
