Villagers and police clashed during the demolition of houses built by drug smugglers on Panchayati land in village Daban Khedi of Guhla sub-division of Kaithal, Haryana. The landlord climbed onto the roof and was forcibly brought down by the police. The police also had to use mild force to disperse the villagers. Later, amidst tense atmosphere, the house was demolished by JCB. Some people have also suffered injuries during the protest.

According to the information, houses were built illegally on Panchayati land by Saheb Singh and Sewa Singh in Daban Khedi village of Kaithal. It is alleged that the black money of intoxicants was used to build the house. The administration team had reached Daban Khedi village on Wednesday to demolish their houses.
During the demolition of the house, the police personnel engaged in bringing down Sewa Singh, who had climbed on the roof.
When the police administration started action to demolish the house, the villagers attacked the JCB machine with bricks and earthen nuggets. prevented the administration from taking action. In view of this, more police force was called to the spot. After this, the police used mild force on the protesting villagers and drove them away from the spot.

During this, the owner of the house, Sewa Singh climbed on the roof of the second floor of the house. After this the police had to struggle a lot to bring him down. Other family members also came out in protest. However, the administration also demolished Sewa Singh’s house despite heavy protests.

DSP Ravindra Sangwan said that Daban had reached Khedi village to demolish the house built from the black money of drug smugglers. Villagers protested and pelted stones at JCB machine. Heavy police force was called to the spot and the situation was brought under control. The situation in the village is normal now.
