During an event in the Supreme Court on Women’s Day, the CJI had announced the release of a glossary of inappropriate words used for women in court language, arguments and judgements.
CJI DY Chandrachud is about to complete 23 years as a judge, but he has never faced any pressure during such a long career. Tell this, he said in the event of India Today in New Delhi. CJI said – There is pressure, but on the mind so that the right solution to a case can be found. His right decision can be taken.
In this event, CJI also told his choice on collegium system, online trolling of judges. He told that if he had been a cricketer, he would have been like Rahul Dravid.

- Disagreement with Law Minister: He has a belief. I have an opinion and there is bound to be a difference. After all, what’s wrong with having a difference of opinion? We have to deal with difference of perception within the Judiciary.

- Pending cases shows the trust people have in us: We write judgments on Saturdays, prepare for Mondays on Sundays. US Supreme Court sits for 80 days, SC in India sits for 200 days every year. The pendency shows the faith of the people and to maintain it the judges have to be more efficient.
