Harshita Banthia, an MBA student at Goa Institute of Management achieved her long-time dream as she bagged a job at Microsoft with a handsome package of Rs 55 LPA. This is reportedly the highest package offer from this institute this year. Before Harshita joined GIM for her MBA, she was working with an international bank as a software development engineer in Pune.

She completed her BTech degree from a college in Chhattisgarh. Harshita hails from Raipur and lives with her family. Earlier this year, the Goa Institute of Management announced her achievement through an official release. The statement said that a bright girl from a family of advocates followed her dreams and accomplished her life goals.

The management school claimed that Harshita Banitha got the opportunity at one of the biggest tech companies of all time due to the combination of tech skills and perspective development that she learned at the Business school. “She scored amazingly well in her CAT exams, and applied to multiple institutes,” it said.

The director of Goa Institute of Management, Dr Ajit Parulekar also said that GIM has been invariable at the forefront of industry excellence regarding their students’ well-being and education.

“We encourage our students to bear the torch of conscious leadership and excel in their career paths. Like every year, we have seen tremendous growth in our recruiters’ portfolio and placements this year too,” said the statement. The average salary package at GIM was Rs 14.66 LPA last year

GIM was ranked 36th in the National Curriculum Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the list of management colleges last year. In the 2020-21 academic year. out of 424 graduates, 407 got placed and the median salary of the students was Rs 10 lakh per annum.
