The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official advisory regarding misleading information on the syllabus and related study material.
The CBSE has observed that some websites and online portals are disseminating outdated information and unreliable news on curriculum, sample question papers, CBSE resources, and activities. The advisory stated, “These links and news falsely claim to provide updated information for the session 2024-25,”
The Board further warned the individuals not to fall for the fake information provided on such unauthorized websites as it may cause unnecessary confusion among the students, parents and other stakeholders.
In the public’s interest, CBSE intends to emphasise that material from unauthorised sources can be deceptive and generate undue confusion among schools, students, parents, and other all parties involved, it added.
CBSE further urged the people to only take information from the official sites. The board mentioned the following web portals in its advisory which students can refer to:

Meanwhile, CBSE recently issued an advisory stating that the board has detected discrepancies in theory and practical marks of Class 10th and Class 12th students from more than 500 schools across the country.
With the use of sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has identified, among at least 50 per cent of the students in roughly 500 CBSE-affiliated schools, a notable discrepancy between theory and practical marks in some subjects.
Also, CBSE has released a tentative date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary examinations 2024. The CBSE Class 10th Supplementary Exam will be held from July 15 to July 22, while for Class 12th the exam will be held on a single day, July 15.
