Card-holders Can Get Ration With Otp Now | Noida News – Times of India

Noida: Beneficiaries who have not been able to validate their Aadhaar cards yet can now get free ration with the help of a one-time password (OTP) on their phones.
In Gautam Budh Nagar, the first phase of the free ration drive started on Sunday and would continue till March 18. Card-holders are eligible for 35kg of ration — 20kg of wheat and 15kg of rice, black gram, iodised salt, cooking oil and soybean. Ration would be distributed every day between 6am and 9pm. The district magistrate has instructed ration dealers to keep the shops open on all days. The distribution of food grain will take place in the presence of nodal officers. Officials said the dealers had been asked to stock all the items listed for distribution under the Food Security Act2013.
If card-holders are given less food grains than what they are eligible for, they can lodge complaints with the sub-divisional magistrates, district supply officers and regional food supply officers. If the dealers are found guilty, FIRs can be lodged against them.
